Ore City High School Assistant Principal Julie Furlow is a 2001 graduate of Spring Hill High School who attended Texas A&M University-Commerce on a Track and Field scholarship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health and a Master of Education in Kinesiology and Health, as well as teaching certifications in Social Studies (7-12), Health (All-Level), Physical Education (All-Level), and Generalist (4-8). Mrs. Furlow also has coaching experience as Head Coach in Girls Track and Field, Volleyball, Basketball and Powerlifting. She earned her Principal Certification in 2020.

Julie is married to Joshua Furlow and they have three children: sons Jackson (13) and Jake (11), and daughter Jordan (9).

Away from her career, Mrs. Furlow enjoys reading and shopping as well as listening to podcasts while driving her children to and from all of their various activities.
