HIGHLY QUALIFIED MATH TEACHER
Ore City High School is searching for a Highly Qualified Math Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Primary courses taught will be Algebra 2 and College Prep Math. CERTIFIED SECONDARY SCIENCE TEACHER

The ideal candidate will be able to provide Special Education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. They will be able to develop or modify curriculum and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. They can perform in self-contained, team, and/or departmental capacities as needed.

The class will implement the Dave Ramsey financial literacy curriculum, explore career opportunities, and make class presentation regarding the curriculum. The ideal candidate will:

  • possess the necessary teacher certifications 
  • possess the ability to form effective positive relationships with students
  • possess the ability to  implement student centered learning activities 
  • possess the ability to  work and function as a part of a close knit team
  • possess the ability to  model the culture of success for our students by demonstrating the campus core values of Positive Attitude, Respect, Responsibility, Involvement, Determination, and Excellence

Duties include:

  • Answering phones
  • Interact in a positive manner with students, parents, and teachers
  • Managing daily student attendance in Skyward software
  • Implementing truancy prevention measures
