Gifted & Talented Program

OCISD Gifted and Talented (Grades 1-11) Screening Notification 2023

Ore City ISD is considering students in Grades 1-11 for the Gifted and Talented program. Parents or anyone interested in nominating a student may do so by acquiring a form from the Elementary, Middle School, or High School. Gifted/Talented screening for Ore City ISD students will be during the Spring Semester 2023. No student will be screened without the appropriate form and parent permission for assessment.

Anyone interested in the educational welfare of these students may refer them for assessment.  Referral forms are available at Ore City Elementary, on the Ore City ISD website, or via the link below. Nominations for students will be accepted March 20 - April 14, with services beginning in the 2023-24 school year.

Ore City ISD maintains a Gifted and Talented program for students who have demonstrated the ability to perform at a remarkably higher level of accomplishment. Teachers are working with and observing student behavior that will aid us in recognizing gifted and talented students.
