Principal
Rebel Nation,
I’m incredibly honored and excited to serve as the principal of Ore City Middle School! Each family represented at OCMS is part of my extended family, and I take that to heart. While the middle school years can be challenging, they are also some of the most transformative. It’s during this time that students begin to truly discover who they are—and I’m thrilled to walk alongside them on that journey. I can’t wait to watch our students grow, not only in height and academics but also as compassionate, responsible citizens of Ore City.
At OCMS, we are guided by five core values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence. These principles aren’t just words on a wall—they’re the foundation of how we operate each day. Our commitment is to hold ourselves and our students accountable for living out these values in all that we do.
A little bit about me: I’m proud to be a native of the 259—straight out of Daingerfield, Texas! I earned my BBA in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington and went on to complete my teaching certification and master’s degree at LeTourneau University. I’m currently pursuing my doctorate at Texas A&M–Texarkana. My husband and I have been married for 18 wonderful years, and we have five children ranging in age from 4 to 23, plus one precious “grandblessing.”
One of my core beliefs is that we all need something to grow toward. When we stop growing, we stop truly living—and instead start simply existing. Life is for the living, and all living things need to grow.
Let’s make this a year full of growth, laughter, and learning.
