OCISD Board Approves 2023-2024 District Calendar
The Ore City ISD Board of Trustees welcomed Ore City High School's Amir Sultan and Layne Morris, who earlier this month won the UIL CX Debate State Championships, during Monday's regular meeting for March.
The board also approved the 2023-2024 school calendar.
OCISD staff will return to begin the year on Aug. 7, with the first day of school scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16. Student holidays include Labor Day (Sept. 4), Staff Workday (Sept. 25), Yamboree (Oct. 19-20), Staff Workday (Nov. 6), Thanksgiving (Nov. 20-24), Christmas and New Year's (Dec. 18-Jan. 2), MLK Day (Jan. 15), President's Day (Feb. 16, Feb. 19), Spring Break (March 11-15), and Staff Workday (April 15).
The last day of school for 2023-2024 will be Thursday, May 23.
