Superintendent
MESSAGE FROM OUR SUPERINTENDENT
I am so excited to be a part of OCISD! I have felt so welcomed and encouraged these past few weeks in my new position as Superintendent of Schools. I have met many wonderful people and am looking forward to meeting many more.
As a new member of OCISD, I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I have been married to my husband, Kevin Evers for fourteen years and together we have 4 children (a son and three daughters), 1 daughter-in-law, three sons-in-law and three of the most awesome grandchildren ever (Asher-10, Toven-8, and Remi Jo- 3). Kevin and I attend Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Longview, TX. Prior to coming to OCISD, I was the Asst. Superintendent/Principal at Union Grove ISD.
As an educator and leader it is my desire to be a lifelong learner. I believe that continual growing is crucial for success. Every project that I take on, whether successful or not, is a learning experience. I believe that I am a better educator and leader because I am never satisfied but strive for ways to be better every day.
Being better every day means that I am continually working on the relationships in my life, personal and professional. Building relationships is part of being a servant leader. I want to empower others to grow and learn to become the best person they can be while encouraging them in an honest and supportive manner.
I believe that every student matters, every day. It is my goal at OCISD to always put students first.
If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or 903-968-3300.
I am looking forward to a great spring semester!
